Job Description

• Manage and oversee the Italian kitchen section, ensuring the preparation and presentation of authentic Italian dishes to the highest quality standards.
• Supervise, guide, and support Commis Chefs and kitchen team members during food preparation and service.
• Ensure all mise en place is prepared, organized, and stocked before service periods.
• Maintain consistency in recipes, portion control, and presentation according to restaurant standards.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage procedures to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with the senior chefs in menu development and seasonal specials.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
• Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie experience in an Italian restaurant or upscale dining establishment.
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, including pasta, risotto, sauces, and traditional Italian cooking techniques.
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate junior kitchen staff.
• Excellent understanding of food safety, HACCP standards, and kitchen best practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for Italian gastronomy and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
