Storekeeper

Job Purpose

Perform warehouse transactions and physical movements; receipt, dispatch, storage, and issuing of materials and equipment in the correct quantities, quality and condition as requisitioned, in accordance with establishedprocedures and standards. Is responsible for related losses and damages.

• High School Certificate.
• Diploma in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• 1 Year of experience in a similar position in a warehousing environment preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Job Specific Skills:

• Acquainted with ERP Warehouse management systems.
• Driving license: Car, Forklift and Heavy Duty
• Knowledge of SAP
• Details orientation
• Planning and organizing
• Teamwork

Accountabilities:-

Warehousing:

• Perform the physical as well as SAP entries for receipt, dispatch, and storage of materials and equipment to ensure that it is received and distributed in the correct quantities, quality and condition as requisitioned, according to established procedures and standards.
• Undertake all general material handling duties and Site deliveries.
• Is responsible for material checks prior to receipt and issue.
• Carry out stuffing and de-stuffing of containers.
• Check and preserve materials.
• Identify and report material discrepancies to Senior Storekeeper.
• Undertake routine clerical work specific to dept.

Effective Communication:

• Interface with internal and external customers to ensure material availability.
• Report to Senior Storekeeper any discrepancies found during material movements.

Health, Safety and Environment:

• Adherence to all HSE and Quality policies, procedures and standards to safeguard Company personnel and assets.
