Job Description

A Commis I Pastry is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods to deliver an exceptional guest experience while consistently contributing to departmental goals.

What you will be doing:

• Assist in the preparation, baking, and presentation of all pastry and dessert items

• Ensure consistent quality and freshness of products served

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen in line with food safety standards

• Assist with inventory control, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste

• Support senior chefs with new pastry and dessert creations

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Creative and passionate about pastry, desserts, and customer service

• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a true team player

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Pastry & Bakery is an advantage

• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or high-end pastry kitchen is preferred
