Essential Job Functions

• Inspect, service, maintain, and repair fire alarm and suppression systems.
• Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Ensure work complies with relevant codes.
• Develop and implement procedures to prevent recurring defective services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• NICET Certified Level II (required).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering (highly desired).
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in the Fire Protection/Life Safety Industry.
• Experience as a Journeyman and/or Foreman in Fire Alarm & Suppression Field.
• Extensive knowledge of various types of sprinkler systems (wet, kitchen extinguishing, etc.).

Additional Requirements

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Valid U.S. Passport (preferred).
• Ability to meet all current USCENTCOM deployment policy requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
• Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions, including dust, high temperatures, long hours, and hazardous conditions.

Knowledge & Skills

• High level knowledge and application of the National Fire Alarm Code and pertinent UFC codes.
• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans and building construction drawings.
• Ability and willingness to work independently and as a team member on all aspects of fire sprinkler systems, including maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Maintaining NICET Level II certification for Fire Alarm systems, Special Hazard systems, and Inspection/Testing of Water Based Systems.
• Maintaining NICET Level III certification for either Fire Alarms or Special Hazard systems.

Travel & Deployment

• 100% travel; work in deployed location.

Security Clearance

Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
