Job Description

TheRepairs Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervisionof the Repairs Demand Management team in order to ensure all inventory/assetdemands including generation, receipt, validation, prioritisation, solution,process and progression achieve contractual requirements within timescales andbudgets set. Ensure allocated resource has appropriate skills, is motivated andeffective and at all times comply with SHE, Quality and other internal andexternal regulations.

Core Activity

• Ata tactical level, manage the optimum Demand Management solution with, asapplicable, the Customer, Maintenance Tasking & Verification team(s), Part145 organisation(s), Order Book Managers, Procurement, Suppliers and all otherkey stakeholders, in order to deliver the required standards of ContinuingAirworthiness and contract delivery.
  
• Leadand manage the development and delivery of the Demand Management capabilities(including resource, process and IT infrastructure), ensuring alignment tocurrent and future business strategies.
  
• Providesupervision and coordination for a team, ensure that team members are fullymotivated, trained, capable and able to generate work output of a quality tomeet all requirements of the business, customer and contract.
  
• Managethe ability to interface with platform maintenance & upgrade operations toensure that appropriate and timely demands are placed on, and responded to bythe supply chain. Including the presentation of material supplied tomaintenance in appropriate formats and timescales. The management of calibrateditems through the timely return to industry and return serviceable of assetsensuring tesing/tooling capability is not compromised.
  
• Leadand manage the development and deployment of a robust and cost effective demandvalidation process, ensuring that the correct specification of items aresourced through the correct channels
  
• Leadand manage the development and deployment of an effective priority managementprocess to meet customer/contract critical demand. Ensure that all availableoptions for demand resolution are exhausted within the fastest means possible,whilst ensuring compliance. To improve item availability, manage thedevelopment and implementation of cost effective alternative solutions, <|channel|> bychallenging and informing stakeholders based on historical performance data andcurrent issues.
  
• Leadand manage the development and delivery of an effective reporting/metricationcapability in order to articulate and manage Demand Management performance.Ensure trends are captured to inform risk/opportunity management and planningactivity. Ensure escalated issues are assessed, effective solutions generatedand monitored, or sponsor escalation to management, as appropriate.
  
• Mentoring the QEAFstaff in the repair activities as they join the MOB Organisation from the QTI.
  

Key Accountabilities

• Performanceindicators – Ensure the effective management of Demand Management activitiesby setting delivery targets, monitoring progress and developing performanceimprovement programmes. Prioritises activities within/across teams to maximiseefficiency. Represents the Demand Management Manager at manager reviews, wherenecessary. Responsible for the assessment of escalated issues for any impact onContinuing Airworthiness, operational/process performance and generatingeffective resolution, or sponsoring escalation to management, as appropriate.
  
• Completionof activities – Ensure all Demand Management activities areappropriately documented and the appropriate airworthiness records aremaintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based). Ensure all Demand Managementactivities are performed by suitably qualified, experienced and authorisedpersonnel. Ensure the integration of Demand Management activity within thebusiness, including the engagement of key stakeholders at all stages of theprocess. Provide support and guidance to the team(s).
  
• Procedure/standards – Manage the Demand Management team(s) compliance with the MAI CAME, itsassociated procedures and standards, and any other AM&S or companyprocedures and standards, as applicable. Identify, propose and implement changeas required whilst ensuring compliance.
  
• SafetyManagement System – Promote the application ofHuman Factors, Error Management, Risk Management and Safety Assurance withinthe Demand Management team, together with an awareness of preventative andpredictive practices.
  
• ManagementSystem Assurance –Ensure Demand Management team(s) activities are compliant with the AM&SGovernance and Assurance framework. Ensure Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits aresupported by Demand Management personnel and integrated within/across teams.Manage audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provideinformation into the relevant reviews. Generate and implement effectiveimprovements within/across teams to overcome any non-compliance and monitoreffectiveness.
  
• Statutory/ Regulatory & Legislative requirements – Able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the relevantContinuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework, and ensure any Regulatory-drivenchanges are implemented within the Demand Management team activities. Ensurecompliance with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR, EaPW, ISO, etc.
  
• ContractualRequirements –Ensure compliance with all applicable contractual requirements, e.g. throughsupport to contract reviews, and ensure any changes are incorporated into theDemand Management processes as appropriate.
  

Requirements

• Regulatory Framework understanding and the ability to drive thisframework structure within the Demand Management processes and activities.
  
• Able to build strong relationships with Customers, Part 145Organisation(s), Order Book Management, OEMs, Suppliers and other keystakeholders.
  
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of the platform contract(s).
  
• Demonstrate a thorough operational and commercial understanding of thefleet’s performance and business key performance metrics.
  
• Able to encourage/champion a Continuous Improvement culture, anddevelop/enhance the underpinning management reporting systems.
  
• Able to manage the implementation of an efficient and cost effectiveDemand Management strategy.
  
• Demonstrate an understanding of discipline dependencies andinterdependencies with Demand Management.
  
• Provide direction and advice to the Demand Management team(s) on demandrelated issues, addressing individual aircraft/components and fleet-wideissues.
  
• Able to manage the competency within/across Demand Management team(s).
  
• Must understand constraints and lead times associated with ML2/ML4activity and the importance of prioritisation.Working with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure as much up frontplanning is done in a proactive manner to avoid any unnecessary prioritydemands.
  
• Requires excellent analysis and planning skills along with excellentrelationship building and problem solving skills, able to use appropriate ITsystems.
  
• Recent extensive experience within a Supply Chain Demand Management rolein support of Maintenance /after sales market environments.
  
• Recent proven experience as a Team Leader in a supply chain role.
  
• Valid Driving Licence
  
• Institute of Supply Chain Management L5, HND orits equivalent is desirable but not essential.
