TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

Primary Purpose of the Job

Provide comprehensive technical, administrative and information management support to Senior Staff through effective management of correspondence, communications, administrative data and documents. Act as custodian for technical/geospatial information and carry out archiving, data storage, data entry, scanning, quality check and uploading data / documents to the information system.

Provide technical verification of documents/data received for archiving according to QatarEnergy standards and assist in retrieving information, documents and drawings from the archives and from Correspondence Management System (CMS).

Develop, maintain and improve departmental databases, reporting systems and electronic records management processes. Support management and teams by preparing reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs using Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel and Power BI.

Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, monitor action tracking, maintain document control systems, and ensure compliance with QatarEenrgy procedures for records management, confidentiality, information governance and document retention. Assist the team in facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders and support in data automation initiatives.

Required Experience and Skills

• Good verbal and written command of English is required.
• Certifications in areas of specializations are preferable.
• Knowledge of software suits, for example MS Office, AutoCAD, Power-BI and SQL.
• Skilled in Technical Report Writing.
• At least 5 years working experience in engineering department with computer systems including document management system.
• Very good communication skills, very high self-motivation, excellent teamwork, and attention to details.

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma, or equivalent in the in Business Administration, information managing, information technology or equivalent discipline.
