Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
Experience
- 10 years relevant post-graduate experience, including 6 years related to the Oil & Gas industry.
- Ability to identify and use relevant engineering standards and codes related to Instrumentation Engineering.
- Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple-project environment.
- Good communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical design and engineering services in Instrumentation Engineering for assigned projects, meeting technical quality requirements while considering schedule, cost and HSE.
- Conduct Instrumentation Engineering activities and in-house site surveys from concept definition through engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning.
- Ensure technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed; review technical deviations/variations.
- Support review, update and application of local engineering standards and amendments to external standards.
- Plan and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams for timely delivery of technical services.
- Coordinate engineering designs and develop/review multidisciplinary work scopes, ensuring completeness and clarity.
- Review and approve contractor method statements for scope compliance and resolve technical issues.
- Develop, update and monitor in-house engineering schedules and contribute to FEED/EPIC scheduling and effective delivery.
- Evaluate technical bid packages for scope compliance.
- Review and evaluate contract changes/variations to approved guidelines and practices.
- Support development of personal and coworker technical competency and participate in structured training for Associate Engineers.
