Consultant / Specialist - Pediatric Emergency Medicine (Pediatric ER)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist – Pediatric Emergency Medicine to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will provide specialized emergency care to infants, children, and adolescents, managing a wide range of acute medical conditions, injuries, and critical cases in a fast‑paced Pediatric Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients presenting with emergency and acute medical conditions.
• Provide immediate stabilization and emergency interventions for critically ill children.
• Manage pediatric trauma cases, respiratory emergencies, infections, allergic reactions, and other urgent conditions.
• Perform pediatric emergency procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines and safety standards.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and determine appropriate treatment plans and disposition.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement programs, clinical audits, and continuous medical education.
• Support and mentor junior medical staff and trainees where applicable.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with a recognized specialization in Pediatrics / Pediatric Emergency Medicine / Emergency Medicine with relevant pediatric emergency experience .
• Minimum of 3 years of post‑specialty experience .
• Strong clinical expertise in pediatric emergency care and critical patient management.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high‑pressure emergency environment.
