There are two Project Manager roles available:
- Project Manager, ICT and Civil Engineering
- Project Manager, IT and Software Engineering
The candidate is expected to demonstrate extensive experience and understanding in managing projects within either ICT and Civil delivery works or IT and Software/Application delivery works.
It is essential that both project managers have experience with project deliveries involving Qatar authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage stakeholder expectations, including clients and partners/vendors, and build strong relationships.
- Make critical decisions, provide direction and leadership to managers on project management, technical management, financial, and operational management.
- Report project progress to the steering committee, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Monitor development and implementation progress, ensuring quality and project performance.
- Work with project managers and partners to manage project finances and human resources effectively and cost-efficiently.
- Ensure legal compliance and obtain necessary permits for projects.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Work both in an office environment and at project sites.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess strong leadership and business management skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and suppliers in an international environment.
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of leadership experience managing more than two projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting effectively to project steering committees and senior management.
- Ability to take initiative and navigate complex project environments.
- Understanding of software development, IT, OT, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of system safety and workplace safety standards.
