To accurately fabricate, assemble, and install steel reinforcement (rebar) for concrete structures according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency on a major construction project.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Read and interpret detailed reinforcement drawings, bar bending schedules, and construction plans.

Measure, cut, bend, and lay steel reinforcing bars (rebar) to precise shapes and dimensions using manual tools and powered machinery.

Assemble and securely tie rebar cages for columns, beams, walls, slabs, and foundations using tying wire and pliers.

Correctly position and fix rebar, ensuring specified concrete cover is maintained using spacers, chairs, and other supports.

Safely unload, handle, and place pre‑fabricated rebar mats and cages, working in coordination with crane operators and signalers.

Conduct checks on work to ensure alignment, level, and compliance with design before concrete pouring.

Strictly adhere to all site safety policies, including wearing full PPE (helmet, gloves, safety boots, harness), attending daily toolbox talks, and reporting any hazards.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and keep the work area clean and organized.

Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks.

Proven experience as a Steel Fixer on major construction sites.

Physical strength, stamina, and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Valid certificate in Basic Site Safety (e.g., OSHA).

Ability to understand and communicate effectively in basic English.
