Welder – Marine
Responsibilities
- Perform welding, cutting, fitting, and repair works on marine structures and equipment.
- Carry out welding on decks, supports, frames, pipes, and structural components.
- Follow approved WPS, drawings, and welding procedures.
- Inspect welding machines, cables, electrodes, and tools before use.
- Maintain weld quality and report defects or repair requirements.
- Follow PTW, hot work, fire watch, and HSE procedures.
Requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of welding experience in marine projects .
- Experience on vessels, barges, shipyards, ports, or marine facilities .
- Skilled in SMAW / GTAW / FCAW / MIG welding as applicable.
- Able to read basic fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Valid Welder Qualification Certificate / trade certificate preferred.
- Good knowledge of hot work safety and marine working conditions.
