Senior Software Engineer, Quality

Responsibilities

• Build and operate agents across the testing lifecycle, including test design, generation, maintenance, execution, and failure triage.
• Own infrastructure for agent-driven testing, including environments, test data, tool interfaces, guardrails, runtime controls, and cost controls.
• Define measures for agent output quality so engineering teams can trust results without hand-reviewing them.
• Apply agent evaluation practices to testing Camunda 8’s non-deterministic AI capabilities.
• Work hands-on with product features to validate and improve the testing tooling.
• Develop quality patterns, tooling, and enablement that help product teams own quality themselves.
• Drive adoption of internally developed tools across teams that do not report to you.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience with daily production coding.
• Production experience building and owning test infrastructure, developer tooling, or internal platforms used by other engineers.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs or agent frameworks, including prompt and context design, tool use, handling non-determinism, and evaluating output quality.
• Comfort with distributed systems and CI at scale, including reasoning about concurrency, state, and timing.
• Ability to drive adoption of tools across teams and improve solutions when initial versions are not adopted.
• Ability and/or willingness to use the Camunda product.
• Preferred: experience evaluating or benchmarking LLM systems.
• Preferred: open-source contribution experience.
• Preferred: experience with Java, TypeScript, Python, Kubernetes, or Helm.
• Preferred: background in developer tooling or platform engineering.
