Mechanical Technician (Rotating and Static Equipment)

·  Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on mechanical equipment to maximize plant reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.

·  Diagnose mechanical faults, troubleshoot equipment failures, and carry out timely repairs to minimize plant downtime.

·  Execute maintenance work orders using CMMS while ensuring compliance with OEM specifications, maintenance procedures, and quality standards.

·  Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, Permit-to-Work systems, safety procedures, and safe use of tools and equipment during all maintenance activities.

·  Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Operations teams, and contractors to plan, execute, and document routine and emergency maintenance activities accurately.

Requirements

·  Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical maintenance within power generation, desalination, utilities, heavy industry, or oil & gas sectors.

·  Hands-on experience maintaining rotating and static equipment , including exposure to Gas Turbine and multi-stage desalination plant systems.

·  Proficient in preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and CMMS, following OEM maintenance standards.

·  Certified or trained in First Aid , Emergency Fire Fighting , and knowledgeable in Permit-to-Work (PTW) , HSE procedures, plant isolation, and safe work practices.

·  Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently in multicultural, high-pressure industrial environments.
