INSTRUMENT MAINT. ENGINEER

Primary Purpose of the Job

Directly supervises co-ordinates and participates in the maintenance of Field / Control room Instrumentation, DCS / F&G / Loss prevention / Systems / Turbine Control System and Compressor Anti-Surge Control Systems / SCADA, Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) and CCTV Systems in the NGL Plants in the NGL Complex. Schedules work, implements preventative maintenance schedules, co-ordinates shutdown activities with respect to instrumentation, implementation of plant modifications such as like for like replacements, replacement of Obsolete Instrumentation / Systems, complete involvement / participation in Design Review / Implementation of Instrumentation related works of Minor / Major Projects, identification of Obsolete Equipment’s and plan for replacements, supervises subordinates and contract technicians and maintains all associated technical and administrative records of work performed.

Required Experience and Skills

8 years practical experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of a variety of types of pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic instrumentation, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Fire & Gas Detection System (FGD), Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) and plant and personnel safety systems, including at least 3 years in a supervisory position, controlling a multinational Instrument workforce

Educational Qualifications

B. Sc. in Instrument Engineering plus relevant short courses in safety, first aid. Good knowledge of English is essential.
