Procurement Engineer

Job Description

Leminar Global Distribution and Service WLL is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join our LAC Qatar Service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP and Gulf experience, and will be responsible for managing the procurement process and supplier relationships.

• As a Procurement Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our MEP systems and services.
• Your primary focus will be on managing the procurement process, from preparing purchase requisitions and orders to arranging suppliers.
• You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to understand their needs and source the right materials and services.
• Your expertise in the Gulf market will be invaluable in negotiating favorable terms and building strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage purchase requisitions (PR) and purchase orders (PO) for daily procurement needs.
• Source and arrange suppliers for MEP-related materials and services.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procurement activities.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Research and evaluate potential new suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Monitor and track the delivery of purchased items, ensuring timely receipt.
• Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes with suppliers.
• Provide regular updates and reports on procurement activities to the management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably in the MEP industry.
• Gulf experience is mandatory, with a strong understanding of the local market and business practices.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office applications.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and a systematic approach to work.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
