SR. INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of postgraduate experience, with at least 6 years in Oil & Gas industry.
• Ability to identify, apply, and utilize relevant Instrumentation Engineering standards and codes.
• Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects within a multi‑project environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical design and engineering services in Instrumentation Engineering for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with procedures and considering quality, schedule, cost, and HSE requirements.
• Execute Instrumentation Engineering activities and in‑house/site surveys from initial concept definition through engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
• Ensure all technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental, and safety policies are incorporated and followed throughout project execution.
• Review and assess technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices.
• Support the Engineering Department in reviewing, updating, and applying standards and amendments to external standards.
• Plan and coordinate the activities of multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of technical services in line with project requirements.
• Coordinate engineering designs and develop, review, and ensure clarity and completeness of multidisciplinary work scopes.
• Review and approve method statements submitted by contracted organizations and liaise with contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in‑house engineering activities and contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling to support effective project delivery.
• Conduct evaluations of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
• Review and evaluate contract changes and variations against approved guidelines and practices.
• Support the development of personal technical competencies as well as those of co‑workers.
• Participate in structured training and development programs for Associate Qatari Engineers.
