Pharmacist (Procurement) - Qatar

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist – Procurement to oversee the sourcing and procurement of pharmaceutical products while ensuring compliance with Qatar healthcare regulations. The role requires close coordination with suppliers, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted product availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, compliance, and service levels.
• Prepare and process purchase orders while ensuring adherence to procurement policies.
• Coordinate product registrations and documentation as required by relevant Qatar authorities.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and forecast procurement requirements.
• Track shipment schedules and follow up on delivery timelines.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar pharmaceutical regulations and company quality standards.
• Analyze procurement costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales, warehouse, finance, and regulatory teams to support business objectives.
• Generate procurement reports and maintain accurate purchasing records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
• Valid Qatar Pharmacist License or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement or supply chain management.
• Familiarity with Qatar healthcare and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic will be an advantage.

Preferred Skills (Both Roles)

• Experience in pharmaceutical distribution or healthcare trading companies.
• Knowledge of inventory planning and demand forecasting.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and product categories efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
