Job Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Qatar for a Procurement/Material Specialist.

Job Purpose

Handle and oversee E&P Materials Management functions for Category III to VI projects. Provide Materials Management Support to E&P Teams.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Procurement and Materials Management support for all ongoing PMD projects, including shutdown projects.
• Provide pre‑gate 2 support to FDE/PED teams for finalising Project Procurement strategies, budgetary offers, delivery schedules for long‑lead items from vendors, and preparation/finalisation of project cost estimates and schedules.
• Review and approve Contractors Procurement and Materials Management processes and procedures.
• Supervise SAP‑BOM update activities for projects according to QGPMS Gate V Project close‑out requirements.
• Track and monitor project/shutdown materials to ensure delivery aligns with on‑site dates and project timelines.
• Manage PED surplus materials inventory and blinding material for all ongoing and shutdown projects.
• Procure long‑lead project materials through QatarEnergy LNG Purchasing, review and approve project materials reconciliation reports, coordinate with QA/QC, Warehouse and Contractors for material inspections.
• Custodian of PMD Preferred Vendor List (PVL) and responsible for its regular update based on vendor pre‑qualification approvals.
• Supervise the work carried out by Materials coordinators in line with their roles and responsibilities.

Profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas field.
• Experience in Oil & Gas Project Procurement – long‑lead and critical materials, equipment and package items.
• Experience in Oil & Gas Project Materials Management – tag management system, spare parts management and BOM update activities through SAP.
• Experience in SAP materials systems – Supply & MM modules.
• Experience in Vendor Pre‑Qualification and management processes.

Other Requirements

• Minimum level of experience: 10 years or more.
• Required authorisations: Procurement Specialist – MFA Agreement No. LTC/C/SUP/5146/21.
• Languages: English (C‑Professional working proficiency).
