Job Summary
Responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising instrumentation construction and obsolete
component upgrade activities and general instrumentation works. The role involves resource/manpower
planning, site execution, Client/OEM/subcontractor coordination, progress monitoring, testing/commissioning
support and construction documentation, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently and in
accordance with project requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise and coordinate instrumentation construction, modification and upgrade activities at site.
- Execute obsolete component replacement/upgradation and other instrumentation systems.
- Review approved drawings, specifications, datasheets, loop diagrams, cable schedules and termination drawings before execution.
- Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, tools and other resources based on work fronts and project priorities.
- Coordinate with Client, other EPC, OEM, subcontractors, Operations and Mainteance Commissioning and other disciplines.
- Supervise dismantling, installation, cable pulling/termination, testing, loop checking and commissioning support activities.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, construction progress and compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports, manpower reports, progress measurements and work-front status, and highlight delays, constraints and recovery requirements.
- Coordinate site inspections, RFIs, technical queries, punch-list clearance and construction documentation.
- Support shutdown/tie-in, cutover, pre-commissioning, commissioning and functional testing activities.
- Monitor progress against the schedule and provide manpower, progress and work-front updates, while ensuring compliance with PTW, approved procedures, specifications and QHSE requirements QHSE Responsibilities
- Ensure all activities comply with Project QHSE requirements, Client procedures and applicable Oil & Gas standards.
- Ensure work is performed only under approved PTW, JSA/RA, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Conduct and participate in toolbox talks, pre-job safety meetings and site safety inspections. - Ensure proper use of PPE, LOTO, isolation procedures and other applicable safety controls. - Identify, report and address unsafe conditions, hazards and near misses, with authority to stop unsafe work. - Ensure safe handling, installation, dismantling, tools/equipment use, housekeeping and proper disposal of obsolete materials and waste. - Promote a strong safety, environmental and quality culture and support QHSE audits and incident investigations.
