Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lifting Supervisor to oversee and manage all lifting operations within road and infrastructure construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the safe execution of lifting activities in compliance with approved lifting plans, project specifications, industry standards, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting activities on road and infrastructure construction sites.
• Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and permit requirements.
• Verify that cranes, lifting equipment, lifting accessories, and rigging gear are properly certified, inspected, and fit for purpose.
• Conduct pre-lift meetings, toolbox talks, and daily inspections before commencement of lifting activities.
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, banksmen, engineers, site supervisors, and HSE personnel to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
• Monitor critical, heavy, and non-routine lifting activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and safety standards.
• Ensure all lifting personnel use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with site safety requirements.
• Stop unsafe lifting operations immediately and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Maintain lifting records, inspection reports, permits, certificates, and related lifting documentation.
• Report lifting incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to HSE and project management teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, lifting standards, and HSE regulations.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and implementation of lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure continuous compliance with project HSE objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lifting Supervisor in Road and Infrastructure Projects.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations, crane safety, rigging practices, and lifting equipment.
• Familiarity with international lifting standards, lifting procedures, and HSE regulations.
• Ability to prepare, review, and implement lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Good communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary construction teams and contractors.

Preferred Requirements

• GCC/Qatar road and infrastructure project experience.
• Knowledge of major infrastructure projects involving highways, bridges, tunnels, utilities, and civil works.
• Immediate availability will be an advantage.
• Transferable visa preferred.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification.

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Lifting Supervisor in Road and Infrastructure Projects.

Certification

• Valid Lifting Supervisor Certification from a recognized authority.

Language Preference

• English
