Minimum Qualification Required

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with specialization in HVAC

Required experience

5-7 years experience in a similar position in an Aluminium Smelter

1-2 years Management / Engineer experience

Job Specific Skills

Thorough knowledge of understanding of design, maintenance and operation of

all equipment related to Industrial HVAC systems preferable in Aluminium smelter.

Organizational skills.

Computer literacy.

Fluency in English.

Job Objectives:

Through knowledge in Maintenance and operation HVAC Systems & Equipment's including

the design concept in Industrial HVAC systems

Job Description:

• Assist in the design and engineering of HVAC systems for data center and other

locations , ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

• Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing to optimize

performance and efficiency.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that all project

milestones are met.

• Collaborate with client , contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate

HVAC solutions into overall project designs.

• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports,

to support project execution

• Oversee the design , installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring

adherence to design specifications and best practices.

• Conduct a site visit to assess project progress and resolve any technical issues that

arise.

• Expertise in HVAC design principles and thermal analysis.

• Proficient in project management and methodologies.

• Collaborate with Installation team and contactor to ensure HVAC System

integrated effectively with design, which include reviewing the drawings, material

submittal, to ensure compliance with project specification.

• Ensuring conformity with engineering designs and standards.

• Create detailed designs and specifications for HVAC systems that meet project requirements and comply with industry standards.

• Installation Oversight: Supervise the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring that all work is carried out according to approved plans and safety standards.

This involves directing site supervisors and foremen on the proper handling and

installation

• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of HVAC installations to ensure they

meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations. This includes performing tests such as duct

flow testing and hydro testing for chilled water piping systems.

• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain relevant documentation, including daily progress reports, material inspections, and final test reports. This documentation is crucial for project handover and compliance verification.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all HVAC system activities adhere to the company

's safety policies and procedures.

• Commissioning Support: Assist the commissioning team during pre

commissioning and commissioning stages of HVAC equipment, including testing,

adjusting, and balancing (TAB) of air.

Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations

in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are

kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and

effectively.

Ensure the departmental reports are prepared as per management request, in a

timely and accurate manner to meet company and department requirements

governing reporting.
