Who We Are

Second Dinner is an award-winning independent game development studio that is here to make the most fun games in the world. Not super fun games. Not SUPER DUPER fun games. We mean the MOST fun games. In fact, our game MARVEL SNAP has earned multiple Mobile Game of the Year Awards (Game Awards, DICE), Best Strategy Game (IGN), and the Apple Design Award for Innovation!

Second Dinner is a remote-first studio, so while we are headquartered in Irvine, California, most of our team is fully remote across the United States. We want the most talented teammates wherever they call home. A diverse team with varied perspectives makes us a better company and will help us make better games. If you can bring something new to the table and expand our point of view, that’s a huge upside.

Our Engineering Team:

At Second Dinner, we believe that great people in a great work environment lead to great games and player experiences. In engineering, we empower our teams to build and innovate with best-in-class tools in novel ways. Our goal is to simplify game development and redefine what is possible in game development.

Your Role:

You will own and drive Marvel Snap’s Test Automation initiative, as well as perform various DevOps duties. You will report to the Lead Engineer of the Live Stability team and collaborate with QA analysts, engineers, and artists to create test suites, build pipelines, and develop tools to ensure we deliver the highest quality games possible to our players! If you’re passionate about testing, automation, validation, and continuous integration, then we’d love to hear from you!

Implement metrics, analyze test data to identify patterns, and report on risk status to help enhance software quality
Optimize testing efforts and develop new opportunities using automation that will empower the QA team to be more effective and efficient
Automate everything: from command lines to complex workflows, find opportunities to improve how we build and test the game, ultimately to improve the player experience

What You’ll Need:

Demonstrated ability designing and owning scalable automated testing solutions, including test frameworks, test infrastructure, and execution pipelines
Proficiency in unit and integration test frameworks in C#/.NET or other object-oriented programming language
Experience integrating test pipelines into CI/CD workflows such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
Knowledge of industry best testing practices, including unit, integration, end-to-end, acceptance, functional, and performance testing
Ability to work independently, charting the course for the company in test automation
Passion for empowering teams with best-in-class automated testing tools, frameworks, and test harnesses to improve operations
An agile mindset, a desire for constant improvement of tooling, automation, and process to improve the quality of our products and the lives of our teammates

Passion for playing and making great games

Nice to Have, But Not Necessary:

Experience with test automation in Unity, such as Unity Test Runner
