Primary Purpose of the Job

Systems Engineer will be responsible for the strategic on-going planning, design, and enhancement of QATARENERGY’s infrastructure services like Identity, Messaging in on-prem and O365 / Azure environment. The focus will be on providing a robust, highly available & responsive, secure, and scalable environment while minimizing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and maximizing Return on Investment (ROI) by deploying state-of-the-art technologies, best practices, policies, processes, and procedures.

As subject matter experts provide technical consultancy to ICT management and staff while providing 2nd & 3rd level support for engineers and technicians during and after office hours.

Required Experience and Skills

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in a directly related field, including at least 5 years of technical experience in Identity and Access Management and messaging services
Strong architectural skills and expertise within the data center infrastructure environment including capacity planning, performance analysis, and systems management integration.
Strong experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD)
Strong experience with cloud-native architectures, Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Microsoft Defender.
Strong experience with Azure AD Identity protection, password protection, conditional access, PIM, Azure MFA, Intune MDM, SSO, SAML, ADFS.
Extensive knowledge in messaging services such as Exchange on-prem and Exchange online with hands‑on experience on Transport rules, Anti‑phishing, Anti‑spam, Anti‑malware, Safe Attachment & Links and SPF, DKIM & DMARC
Extensive experience in messaging services like SMS and eFax applications, with a strong understanding of configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
In‑depth knowledge of Citrix services, covering deployment, administration, and performance optimization in enterprise environments.
Troubleshooting skills with Active Directory Infrastructure, Azure AD, Group Policies, PowerShell, Windows Server OS.
Strong expertise in Active Directory auditing and management tools, with the ability to monitor, analyze, and maintain secure and efficient directory services.
Ability to understand business requirements and then propose IT solutions to meet business objectives.
Desirable knowledge of industry security practices around file system, server hardening and vulnerabilities.
Familiar with networking technologies and security protocols.
Working knowledge of cloud networking, security, automation tools.
Familiar with Project Management and Change Management processes.
Basic knowledge of security and control frameworks, such as ISO27001/2, COBIT, and ITIL, as well as regulations such as Sarbanes Oxley and PCI-DSS.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or Management Information Systems or a related Engineering field
Relevant Industry leading Certifications
