Job Description

We are hiring for one of our prestigious client - Oil & Gas Operating Company in Qatar.

Job location: Ras Laffan Fabrication Yard, Qatar

Contract Duration: 3 yrs. with possible extension

Salary & Benefits: Excellent day rate with monthly living allowances

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Preferred Engineering Degree or relevant on the job experience with extensive Offshore experience in a Supervisory role.
Consideration can be given to HNC/HND qualifications with 15+ years of experience in major offshore oil and gas projects in fabrication or construction lead roles.
12 years’ experience on Pipeline construction Offshore including coating yards, offshore pipelay, pre-commissioning and commissioning out of which 10 years’ experience in multidiscipline design, fabrication, installation & HUC of Offshore pipeline facilities.
The role is responsible to lead the monitoring and oversight of the Topsides & STP Contractor Team field planning, coordination, and execution activities within designated area of responsibility.
Experience with Offshore Top sides and similar construction work at supervisory level and exhaustive experience for the preparation, fabrication, and construction of offshore structures with EPCI contractors.
Recent Experience (last 5 years) on projects and working in Ras Laffan industrial city (fabrication yard).

Responsibilities:

Leads the monitoring and oversight of the Topsides & STP Contractor Team field planning, coordination, and execution activities within designated area of responsibility.
Prepares and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the HOC, FAB yard-2 and updates S-curve performance of the contractor with analysis to achieve progress.
Provides safety leadership by example to the Offshore Project Team and the offshore Contractor and its sub-contractors and site vendors.
Responsible for Ensuring the offshore contractor team Implements and sustains its obligations and responsibilities for SHES project deliverables.
As Offshore Project Team Construction representative for monitoring and coordinating site activities of the offshore Contractor team and its subcontractor(s) in their area of responsibility.
Reports on the construction activities, Progress, areas of concern and mitigating actions to head of Construction Fabrication yard-2 and participate & contribute to weekly construction discipline review meetings.
Responsible for implementation of execution activities and ensures development, review, and approval (as required) of appropriate plans, procedures, and programs for safe and effective execution. This includes authorization of COMPANY permits wherever necessary.
Reviews and approves the offshore Contractor team's Construction Sequence plans, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements and participate in Constructability reviews, Hazid workshops during construction to ensure comprehensive safety and feasibility in their area of responsibility.
Help in identifying and organizing all required construction support (Third Party support, Joint-Venture partner technical support, etc.) in liaison with the Offshore Topsides & STPs.
Review construction risks and assist in providing mitigation measures. Report Risks to the Offshore Head of Construction Fab Yard 2, review the EPCI schedule level 3 prepared by the Contractor.
Monitors site material handling, preservation, and warehousing procedures with respect to their area to facilitate construction progress.
