Job Description

The 625 Servicing Material Controller is responsible for managing,coordinating, and controlling all assets required to support the 625 TyphoonServicing Schedule. This includes the end-to-end management of asset demands,receipts, validation, prioritisation, and progression through the DemandManagement process to ensure contractual requirements and servicing timelinesare met.

Key responsibilities include the storage, segregation, and correcthandling of assets, ensuring compliance with Export Control, Security, andairworthiness requirements. The role requires daily engagement with platformservicing teams to capture new demands, manage priorities, provide timelyfeedback, and resolve capability or capacity issues in coordination with the widerlogistics Team.

The postholder will also manage calibrated items, unserviceable partreturns, and tooling issue/receipt, ensuring all items meet required standardsprior to processing. Effective use of electronic systems, including IMS, isessential to support accurate scheduling, asset tracking, and the production ofoperational reports that highlight trends and trigger points to preventservicing delays.

This role demands strong analytical,organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to workautonomously, build effective relationships, and maintain high performancewithin a regulated environment

Core Activity

• Identify and manage any capability orcapacity issues, working closely with the Demand Management Team to resolvethem where practical, and escalating concerns when required.

• Manage the interface with platformmaintenance teams to ensure that timely and accurate demands are raised on theSupply Chain and that responses are delivered in line with operationalrequirements.

• Maintain and manage effective relationships with the 625Maintenance Team, working proactively together to identify and action alllogistics requirements in sufficient time to fully support the servicingschedule.

• Develop, lead, and manage daily feedbacksessions with platform servicing teams to confirm that all demands areappropriately prioritised, upgrading priorities where necessary to supportservicing schedules.

• Develop and manage daily liaison routineswith the platform servicing teams to capture new requirements and providefeedback on previously submitted requests.

• Hold overall responsibility formaintaining regular communication with the Demand Management Team to obtainup-to-date information on outstanding or overdue demands that may impactservicing programmes.

• Manage the storage and segregation area,ensuring secure and accurate ring-fencing of parts required for aircraftentering the servicing programme.

• Monitor and manage the use of IMS forturn-in and scheduling of removed assets from the maintenance environment tothe relevant ML2/ML4 locations, engaging with the Part M Engineer, OrderbookRepairs Team, and Depth Maintenance as necessary.

• Manage calibrated items issued to or fromthe servicing programme, ensuring their movement through the Calibration Areaand the Engineering Logistics Portal (ELP) is fully controlled and compliant.

• Hold overall responsibility for ensuringall unserviceable parts turned in during the servicing programme are correctlywrapped, packed, drained, and fitted with the appropriate bungs and blanksprior to processing.

• Manage and analyse electronic data toproduce a suite of reporting statistics that clearly identify trends, highlightmanagement triggers, and support early identification and resolution ofpotential issues that could delay servicing.

• Responsible for the issue and receipt ofall tooling required by the maintenance team, including the management of pre-and post-use inspections to ensure all tooling is accounted for, serviceable,and fully compliant with airworthiness requirements.

• Provide assurance and take responsibility for the correctmanagement, handling, and storage of all assets within the environment,ensuring full compliance with Export Control and Security requirements for anyrestricted or controlled items.

Key Accountabilities

Completion of Activities – Ensure all Demand Management tasks are accurately documented and that allairworthiness records are maintained in the appropriate IT and paper-basedsystems. Prepare required reports, identify emerging issues, and escalateconcerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Procedures and Standards – Comply with the MAI CAME, all associated procedures and standards, andany AM&S or wider company requirements. Actively identify areas forimprovement and propose changes where beneficial to safety, compliance, orperformance.
Safety Management System – Apply Human Factorsand Error Management principles to all Demand Management and logisticsactivities. Maintain an awareness of the risks associated with supportto maintaining the tight maintenance schedule and ensure appropriatemitigations are understood, applied, and continually reviewed.
Management System Assurance – Ensure all Logistical Management processes remain fully compliant withthe AM&S Governance and Assurance framework. Support process confirmationsand independent assurance audits, respond promptly to audit findings, andcontribute to reviews. Assist in the implementation and monitoring ofimprovements designed to address non-compliance and enhance effectiveness,specifically important during the first implementation of these servicingevents.
Statutory, Regulatory and Legislative Requirements – Demonstrate a strongunderstanding and practical application of the relevant ContinuingAirworthiness regulatory framework. Support the integration ofregulatory-driven changes into Logistics activities and ensure compliance withall applicable requirements, including ITAR, EaPW, ISO, security and otherlegislative obligations.
Contractual Requirements – Ensure all Demand Managementactivities comply with all relevant contractual obligations, supportingcontract reviews and contributing to the incorporation of required changes intoDemand Management processes to support the new maintenance requirements.

Requirements

Demonstrated competence in Supply Chain and Maintenance operations , with the ability to work autonomously as a keystakeholder within a larger team. Capable of defining processes, recommendingimprovements, and managing those improvements within day-to-day operations.
Strong understanding of the applicable Regulatory Framework and its relevance to Demand Management processes andactivities.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, Part 145 organisations, Order BookManagement, OEMs, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
Operational knowledge of the platform contract(s) , including an understanding of fleet performance andthe key business performance metrics that influence delivery.
A developing functional awareness , with theexpectation that capability will grow over the lifecycle of the role.Continuous improvement, capability development, and sustainment form anintegral part of the position.
Strong analytical, planning, relationship-building, and problem-solvingskills , with the ability to effectively userelevant IT systems and tools.
Valid driving licence.
Institute of Supply Chain Management Level 3 (or equivalent) desirable , but not essential.
SC-level security clearance (or the ability to obtain it).
