About The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Head to support our next phase of development in Secondary at NAISAK. We follow a bespoke version of the English National Curriculum in the Secondary School, culminating in IGCSE, AS and A level. The school achieved a 5-year Qatar National Schools Accreditation (QNSA) and is a member of the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME).

Join our dynamic international education environment, where you will lead the delivery of a fit‑for‑purpose curriculum, built on the English National Curriculum and preparing students for external examinations at IGSCE/AS‑A levels. You will lead the development of a culture in which students are challenged to be ambitious learners and teachers are required to be innovative to enhance the student experience and outcomes. You will understand the diverse international language environment within our school community to manage effective curriculum programmes to not only teach English subject content but also continue to support English language development for students across all areas of the school curriculum.

Your educational philosophy will equip you to meet the needs of all learners and be able to teach students with a range of prior achievement, knowledge, and skills. Your expertise and planning adaptability will allow you to map out pathways for all students to progress in your subject, creating opportunities for all learners to achieve success based on individualised targets. You will contribute to good practice by demonstrating a collegiate approach to departmental development and sharing strategies with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Directly manage selected Heads of Year (Pastoral) to track learning, behaviour, and attendance.
Overall caseload responsibility for students and parents across selected year groups.
Line‑manage link curriculum departments.
Manage assessment and reporting for these year groups.
Responsible for organising and attending various corporate events across the school.
The role will include a subject teaching commitment.

Your excellent motivation and communication skills enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement, and personal investment within all lessons across the department.

You will also be able to meet visa‑related restrictions for Qatar, including possession of a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching qualification from a face‑to‑face (non‑online) course.
