Facility Engineer

Job Description

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar


With 5+ years overall experience with3 years' experience of managing comparable operation(s) in GCC region


Good working knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems (HVAC systems & applications and ELV systems) (electrical, control, ELV, BMS etc.)
applicable to Schools or similar


Certified QCDD Engineer preferred
Grade B classified preferred approved from KAHRAMA/ relevant authorities
Full compliance with international standards and standards applicable in the state of Qatar related to building maintenance


Good knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental management systems and regulations


Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills


Good level of interpersonal and communication skills.


Good language ability in both spoken and written English and Arabic


Highly self-motivated and able to work under own initiative


Ability to plan and organise and supervise teams and be decisive when required

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance and repair needs
• Preparing the necessary reports to be shared with Clients
• Decision maker skills require
• Full experience in SLA and priorities
• Able to understand the Drawings and SLD, Riser etc. (CAD drawings)
• Full knowledge about the SOP & O&M , Standards (IEEE, ASHREA , ETC.)
• Experience in Escalation procedures.
• Full Knowledge about the Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, chilled water system,
• Lead a supervisors & Technicians to perform the required work as per schedule and PPM
• Prepare all necessary materials required for the required maintenance systems
• Experience in CAFM Systems for CM, PPM, Job Plan, checklist, Tools.
• Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities, including routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing reliability and safety of our facilities
• Create and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in facility operations
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to coordinate facility-related projects
• Respond to facility emergencies and resolve issues in a timely manner

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in facility management or a similar role
• Knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in speaking Arabic and English
• Proficiency in computer applications related to facility management
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
