GDS MASTERPLAN IMPLEMENTATION LEAD

Overview

This position is the Custodian of the GDS Masterplan implementation activities, with a broad remit covering the development and implementation of standards to reflect the philosophies developed as part of the GDS Masterplan study. This position will be responsible for ensuring the necessary collaboration across QatarEnergy Directorates and Conflict Resolution should the need arise.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 15 years wide-ranging energy industry experience, with recent experience of leading & managing major change / Operational Excellence programs.
• Proven track record in delivering Operational standards, with experience in the deployment and use of continuous Improvement tools & methodologies.
• Significant subject matter expertise in gas transmission and distribution, and the development and delivery of design, safety, and operational standards.
• Knowledgeable in the areas of Asset Integrity – Design, Process Safety Management, Reliability & Maintenance Execution, Production Operations and Project Management.
• Credibility in frontline Operations in the Oil & Gas industry, demonstrated through experience in frontline leadership positions.
• English fluency and clarity in verbal and written language, possible Arabic, high integrity, mature temperament, communication, and interpersonal skills, sound analytical capability, innovative and original thinking with persuasive, consensus building and conflict resolution skills.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Preferably additional degree or diploma in post graduate studies in Engineering, Business Management or Finance.
