BMS Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

• Able to lead a team of BMS operators and BMS technicians for day-to-day work.
• Reporting to the BMS Engineer for system status on a provided schedule and updating the team progress completion report.
• Works on basic HVAC network systems, including fiber optic networks and building management communication network shooting.
• Uses temperature and relative humidity meters, data loggers, electrical volt, and amp meters.
• Works closely with HVAC and plumbing field technicians to facilitate repairs and maintenance of HVAC and plumbing equipment.
• Coordinates with the respective department for corrective maintenance.
• Assists other maintenance team members when required.
• Conducts maintenance with planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for implementation and handles the follow‑up.
• Analyzes the behavior of the plants concerning the set point and sets up the various control parameters.
• Performs daily auditing of plant performance by utilizing the facilities built on the building management system (BMS), e.g., data logging, plant review, alarm manager status, etc.
• Analyzes reasons for the failure of plants and provides specific diagnostics, problem analysis, and specifies the necessary remedial actions for Engineer/Supervisor approval.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Must know the principles of electrical and electronic devices.
• Must understand drawings and learn how to read unit standards.
• Able to lead a team of BMS operators and BMS technicians.

Job Experience

Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in the same role and proven knowledge in the operation and maintenance of equipment, especially HVAC equipment.

Minimum 1 year in GCC preferred.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
