CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

Primary Purpose of the Job

The Construction Supervisor is responsible and accountable for providing oversight and effective control of all day‑to‑day civil construction and execution activities across assigned field projects. The role ensures that all works are delivered in full compliance with the approved Scope of Work, engineering design, issued-for-construction drawings, and QatarEnergy safety, environmental, and technical standards and specifications.

The position also oversees, guides, and advises contractors on all civil construction activities to ensure that execution aligns with approved method statements, adheres to project schedules, and meets all required quality and material standards.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience supervising offshore civil construction activities within oil and gas projects.
• Fully computer‑literate, with strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Excellent command of English, both oral and written.
• Strong knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control principles, and safety and environmental requirements.
• Proven ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), construction schedules, and engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated capability to identify potential bottlenecks or issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate a multi‑national, multi‑cultural contractor workforce.

Educational Qualifications

B.Sc. in Civil Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Higher National Diploma (HND) (or) Diploma in Civil Engineering discipline or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction.
