Position Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location- Doha, Qatar

Job Objective:

• The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the technical planning, design, implementation and administration of mission critical enterprise servers and systems in both data center, disaster recovery site(s) and cloud services.
• The Senior Systems Engineer also extends technical assistance in the areas of operations, virtualization, storage, backup, restore, systems security implementation, operational monitoring and services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Science, Electronics Engineering, or any other appropriately relevant field.

Minimum Experience:

• 9 years of progressive experience in a directly related field.

• 6 years of professional experience in Windows system administration, virtualization, data center operations and infrastructure services in an enterprise level environment.

Job Specific Skills:

• Certifications in industry relative standards, frameworks, and vendor specific technologies such as VMware, Dell, HP, Cisco, Microsoft, Linux, etc.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in data center architecture, disaster recovery design/solutions, in-country and out-of country backup cloud solutions.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in virtualization, cloud, storage, backup systems and DC/DR environments.
• Excellent knowledge in strategizing and designing data centers components for enterprise and diverse organizations adopting latest state-of-the-art technologies.
• Excellent knowledge in ICT data center sizing and capacity planning.
• Excellent knowledge in maintaining effective working relationships with staff and clients; excellent people management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven success in leading a similarly complex ICT infrastructure within same industry.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and requirements.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry, trends, architectures, integrations, operational security, and process computing.
• Excellent understanding of infrastructure cost optimization strategies, techniques and solutions.
