Senior Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management
• Administer and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments including Active Directory, Windows Server, Azure Cloud Services, VMware, Dell VxRail, NSX, enterprise storage, backup systems, DHCP, and networking services.
• Manage and support hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), particularly Dell VxRail and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
• Oversee hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises systems and Microsoft Azure services.
• Manage Azure services including Virtual Networks, Compute, Storage, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Perform capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades, hardware refresh activities, and lifecycle management.
• Lead infrastructure projects including technical evaluations, RFP preparation, vendor selection, migration activities, implementation, and documentation.
• Monitor infrastructure health, availability, performance, and security.
• Manage CCTV and surveillance server environments ensuring continuous video storage and service availability.
• Plan and execute server patching, maintenance schedules, and security updates.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to maintain operational excellence.
• Provide advanced Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for escalated incidents.

Incident Management
• Investigate and diagnose infrastructure incidents by analyzing events, logs, and system behavior.
• Assess business impact and determine affected services and users.
• Utilize knowledge bases, vendor documentation, and historical records to identify resolutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors until service restoration is achieved.
• Test and implement corrective actions and resolutions.
• Support major incident management activities during critical events and venue operations.

Problem Management
• Analyze recurring incidents and identify underlying root causes.
• Categorize and prioritize problems based on business impact and service criticality.
• Develop temporary workarounds and permanent solutions.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents.
• Lead resolution efforts for critical infrastructure issues affecting venue and stadium operations.
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure operations, or cloud infrastructure support.
• Strong experience managing hybrid environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Preferred Experience
• Experience supporting sports venues, stadiums, entertainment facilities, or other large-scale event environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.
• Experience working within highly available, mission-critical environments.
