Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle)

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults in heavy trucks and commercial vehicles.
  
• Perform maintenance and repair of diesel engines, gearboxes, clutches, differentials, and drive systems.
  
• Diagnose and repair air brake, hydraulic brake, steering, and suspension systems.
  
• Carry out preventive and scheduled maintenance according to manufacturer requirements.
  
• Repair or replace damaged engine components, belts, hoses, bearings, filters, and seals.
  
• Conduct engine overhauling and major mechanical repairs when required.
  
• Troubleshoot overheating, oil leakage, abnormal noise, vibration, and performance issues.
  
• Inspect and maintain fuel injection, cooling, lubrication, and exhaust systems.
  
• Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify mechanical problems.
  
• Conduct road tests and final inspections after completing repairs.
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, spare parts, and inspection findings.
  
• Report major defects and spare-part requirements to the supervisor.
  
• Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment properly.
  
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe.
  

Requirements

• ITI, Diploma, or technical certification in Automobile Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Truck or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
  
• Strong experience working with heavy trucks, trailers, buses, or commercial vehicles.
  
• Good knowledge of diesel engines, transmission, clutch, braking, suspension, and steering systems.
  
• Experience in engine overhauling and major mechanical repairs.
  
• Ability to read technical manuals and understand mechanical drawings.
  
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
