Electrician cum AC Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles.
  
• Inspect, repair, and replace batteries, alternators, starters, wiring, relays, fuses, sensors, and lighting systems.
  
• Troubleshoot vehicle electrical and electronic systems using diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and testing equipment.
  
• Install and repair vehicle accessories, including lights, horns, alarms, cameras, and electrical control units.
  
• Diagnose and repair automotive air-conditioning systems.
  
• Perform AC gas charging, refrigerant recovery, vacuum testing, and leak detection.
  
• Repair or replace AC compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, blowers, hoses, and related components.
  
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections of electrical and AC systems.
  
• Read and understand vehicle electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  
• Ensure all repairs are completed according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, spare parts, and services performed.
  
• Report major faults, required spare parts, and additional repair requirements to the supervisor.
  
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop area in a safe and organized condition.
  

Requirements

• ITI, Diploma, or technical certification in Automotive Electrical, Automobile Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as an Automotive Electrician and AC Mechanic.
  
• Practical experience working with cars, light vehicles, buses, and heavy trucks.
  
• Strong knowledge of 12V and 24V automotive electrical systems.
  
• Experience in vehicle AC troubleshooting, gas charging, leak testing, and component replacement.
  
• Ability to operate diagnostic scanners, multimeters, AC recovery machines, and other workshop equipment.
  
• Good understanding of electrical wiring diagrams and vehicle technical manuals.
  
• Ability to independently identify faults and complete repairs efficiently.
  
• Basic communication skills in English.
