SR. SYSTEMS ANALYST (SAP BASIS)

Primary Purpose of the Job

Ensures the stable operation, maintenance, and security of SAP cloud solutions by managing configurations, monitoring performance, and maintaining integrations across platforms such as SAP RISE, SAP BTP, and SAP Business Data Cloud, while establishing and operating SAP AI infrastructure including Joule, AI Core, and related services. The role governs the technical foundation for AI‑enabled scenarios by managing runtime environments, connectivity, and data pipelines, and by overseeing controlled technical changes, user access, and system updates in line with architecture and governance standards. It ensures that applications and interfaces are securely managed through appropriate protection mechanisms, traffic control, and monitoring, maintaining secure communication and mitigating potential threats in alignment with organizational security and architecture requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

• Strong understanding of SAP architectures, including SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP BTP, Integration Suite and SAP BDC
• Experience with SAP AI platform components, including exposure to SAP Joule, AI Core, and supporting infrastructure such as runtime environments, integrations, and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of SAP platform security and compliance, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements across applications, integrations, and AI services.
• Hands‑on experience with integrations and APIs, including securing the interfaces across SAP and non‑SAP systems.
• Ability to manage platform configurations, connectivity, and data flows in complex, hybrid landscapes.
• Proven ability to coordinate with internal teams, service providers and system integrators to deliver stable and secure platform operations.
• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to work independently, plan activities, and deliver against defined objectives.
• Commitment to quality, operational stability, and continuous improvement of platform and infrastructure services.
• Experience in change, release, and access governance processes within enterprise environments.
• Good understanding of traffic management, monitoring, and security controls for applications, APIs, and external‑facing services.
• Strong problem‑solving and incident management skills in cloud‑based SAP environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical topics with business needs.
• Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, BTP, or Cloud Technologies) and exposure to agile or hybrid delivery models are an advantage.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 9+ years in SAP technical roles, Minimum 4–5 years in SAP Basis / Cloud (BTP/RISE)
• SAP Certified in at least one of the areas below:
  • SAP Certified - SAP S/4HANA System Administration
  • SAP Certified - SAP BTP Administrator, Solution Architect or equivalent
  • SAP Certified – BDC, Data Architect or equivalent
  • SAP Certified – Business Transformation Consultant
