Your Day to Day

As a Commis Chef, you will work closely with experienced chefs to assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes across our diverse kitchens. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for food and hospitality, looking to expand their knowledge and skills in a world-class setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food in accordance with the menu and kitchen standards.
• Ensure that food is prepared in a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and help with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
• Ensure high standards of food presentation and taste.
• Help maintain inventory levels and monitor the freshness of ingredients.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations and equipment.
• Support the team in maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen service.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage, but not essential
• A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices\
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility and willingness to work in various kitchen stations
• A professional culinary qualification is preferred but not required
