Quality Controller - Piping Department

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring for the position of Quality Controller – Piping Department in Qatar . The role requires a qualified CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector with practical experience in quality control and NDT inspection of pipes and pipe welds. Candidates with relevant experience in shipyard, oil & gas, or petrochemical environments are encouraged to apply early as positions are limited.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections on piping fabrication and welding activities.
  
• Inspect pipe and pipe welds to verify compliance with applicable quality requirements and approved procedures.
  
• Conduct visual welding inspections and identify welding defects or non-conformities.
  
• Coordinate and review NDT inspection activities associated with piping and welded joints.
  
• Verify piping fabrication work against drawings, specifications, and approved welding procedures.
  
• Monitor welding activities and ensure required quality standards are maintained throughout fabrication.
  
• Maintain inspection records, quality documentation, and reports for completed piping activities.
  
• Coordinate with fabrication, welding, and quality teams to resolve identified quality issues.
  

Required Skills

1. CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection — Must be a qualified CSWIP 3.1 inspector with knowledge of welding inspection practices.
   
2. Pipe & Pipe Weld Inspection — Practical capability in inspecting piping fabrication and welded joints.
   
3. NDT Inspection — Experience with NDT inspection activities relating to pipes and welds.
   
4. Quality Control — Ability to monitor piping work and identify quality deviations and non-conformities.
   
5. Pipe Fabrication — Technical understanding of pipe fabrication processes and associated inspection requirements.
   

Preferred Skills

• Experience in shipyard piping projects.
  
• Exposure to oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
  
• Strong knowledge of welding defects and inspection documentation.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates must have 2 years of relevant working experience . Experience should include Quality Control and/or NDT inspections of pipes and pipe welds within the shipyard, oil & gas, or petrochemical industry .

Education

• Minimum: Diploma or NCTV / ITC in Pipe Fabrication
  
• Preferred: CSWIP 3.1 qualification
  
• Additional: Qualified CSWIP 3.1 Inspector
