JOB PURPOSE:
The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring sales activities within assigned territories. This role ensures that sales targets are met, customer relationships are strengthened, and distribution channels operate efficiently. The position requires a proactive approach to sales support, reporting, and coordination with both internal teams and external partners.

• Distributors, wholesalers, and retailers
• Customers and key accounts
• Suppliers and FMCG partners
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field
• Experience:
• Minimum 3–5 years in sales or distribution roles in FMCG or retail preferably in Perfumes, Beauty or Luxury
• Experience in managing sales territories, distributors, or retail chains is preferred
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Salesforce)
• Good MS Excel skills for sales reporting and analysis
• Basic knowledge of distribution channels, stock management, and sales KPIs
Competencies:

• Team-oriented, with ability to manage and motivate field staff
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Support & Coordination:
• Assist the Sales Manager in implementing sales strategies to achieve targets
• Support in managing distributor relationships and ensuring timely product deliveries
• Coordinate with logistics to ensure stock availability at key locations
• Monitor sales performance and provide daily/weekly reports
Customer & Market Management:
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers and distributors
• Assist in resolving customer complaints and payment issues
• Support in identifying market trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas
Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for the Sales Manager
• Support in analyzing sales data and monitoring KPIs
• Assist in sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting activities
Team Support:
• Guide and support junior sales staff or field executives
• Facilitate training sessions or briefings as needed
• Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance, and standard operating procedures

• Achievement of sales targets in assigned territory
• Timely submission of sales reports and market updates
• Accuracy of sales data and customer information
• Distributor and customer satisfaction levels
• Compliance with company policies and sales processes
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS
• Standard working hours: Sunday to Thursday
• Field visits may require travel within assigned territory
• Occasional extended hours during sales campaigns or month-end reporting
• Office-based role with regular field engagement

• Quarterly and annual performance reviews
