Short Term QA/QC Material Inspector

Job Summary
Responsible for carrying out QA/QC material inspection activities for mechanical and metallurgical materials used in industrial projects
Perform inspection, verification, and quality control activities in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements
Ensure material quality, welding compliance, inspection documentation, and testing activities are performed as per approved procedures
Support quality assurance activities during project execution and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform incoming material inspections and verify compliance with project specifications
- Conduct QA/QC inspection activities for mechanical and metallurgical materials
- Review material test certificates, inspection reports, and technical documentation
- Verify identification, traceability, and storage conditions of materials
- Conduct visual inspections and monitor welding-related quality activities
- Ensure compliance with approved procedures, codes, and standards
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, project teams, and client representatives for inspection activities
- Witness testing and inspection activities as per project requirements
- Raise inspection reports, NCRs, and quality-related documentation when required
- Monitor quality compliance during fabrication, storage, and handling activities
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality procedures
- Maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation accurately
Mandatory Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or AWS-CWI Certification mandatory
- Candidate shall hold the certification for more than 5 years
- NDT Level-II Certification mandatory
- BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 1/2 or NACE Level-1/2 certification will be viewed favorably (not mandatory)
- Minimum 8 years of experience for Degree holders
- Minimum 12 years of experience for Diploma holders
- Minimum 5 years of experience as QA/QC Inspector for material inspection
- Candidate age should be between 30 – 55 years
- Immediate availability preferred for mobilization
