Basicknowledgeof CI, HGPI,LTPI, andmajorinspect onroutines forgas/steamturbines.,ValidOnshoreFTWCerticate(within sixmonths) tobe suppliedby thesupplierbeforemobilizingthecandidates.

2–3 yearsof workexperiencein the Oiland Gasfield.

Inspection and Diagnostics

• Conductvisual and hands-on inspections of all mechanical equipment (pumps,compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, etc.).
  
• Identifymechanical faults and areas of concern that require repairs or replacementduring the shutdown.
  
• Performdiagnostic checks using tools, gauges, and test equipment to assess thecondition of machinery.
  

Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

• Performpreventive maintenance (PM) tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, andchecking for wear and tear on equipment.
  
• Carryout corrective maintenance (CM) to repair or replace faulty mechanicalparts.
  

Troubleshooting

• Identifythe root cause of mechanical failures and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  
• Ensurethat the shutdown activities address both immediate concerns and long-termreliability improvements.
  

Dismantling and Reassembly

• Dismantleequipment as required for repair, modification, or replacement of parts.
  
• Reassemblemachinery according to manufacturer specifications and in accordance withsafety protocols.
  

Safety Protocols

• Adherestrictly to safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for allpersonnel during the shutdown.
  
• UsePersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO)procedures.
  
• Reportunsafe conditions or actions immediately to supervisors.
  

Equipment Calibration

• Calibratemechanical equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  
• Ensureall equipment operates within the specified parameters uponre-commissioning.
  

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintainaccurate records of all work carried out during the shutdown.
  
• Providedetailed reports on the condition of machinery, repairs completed, and anychallenges encountered.
  
• Workclosely with other departments like electrical, instrumentation, andcontrol technicians to ensure all systems work together seamlessly.
  
• Coordinatewith supervisors, engineers, and other personnel to ensure shutdownactivities are completed on time and in budget.
  

Equipment Testing

• Afterrepairs, conduct functionality tests and ensure all systems are runningoptimally before the plant is restarted.
  
• Testand verify pressure, temperature, and mechanical load conditions.
  

Post-Shutdown Activities

• Ensurethat all maintenance tasks are fully documented for future reference.
  
• Assistwith equipment recommissioning and startup processes after the shutdown iscompleted.
  

SKILLS

TechnicalKnowledge: Proficiency in mechanical engineering, particularly in pumps,compressors, turbines, boilers, and other essential equipment used in oil andgas facilities.

Certification: Relevant certifications like API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector) , API570 (Piping Inspector) , or OSHA safety certifications may berequired.

Experience: Several years of experience in amechanical role in the oil and gas sector, particularly in maintenance duringshutdowns.

Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshootingand diagnostic skills.

Physical Stamina: Ability to work inchallenging environments (e.g., offshore platforms, remote locations) and liftheavy parts or tools.
