Works Inspector – Irrigation
Location: Doha, Qatar
Project: Roads & Infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect irrigation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Monitor installation of HDPE/uPVC pipelines, valves, chambers, sprinklers, drip irrigation systems, controllers, and related irrigation components.
- Carry out site inspections and maintain records of daily activities and progress.
- Witness testing and commissioning of irrigation networks, including pressure testing, flushing, and operational testing.
- Verify materials delivered to site are approved and comply with project specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve site issues.
- Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with QCS, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in irrigation inspection works within roads and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in irrigation networks, HDPE pipelines, valves, chambers, sprinklers, drip irrigation systems, and irrigation controllers.
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning of irrigation systems.
- Good knowledge of QCS and infrastructure project standards.
- Experience working on major roads and utilities projects in Qatar.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Valid Qatar driving license is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience on consultant-supervised roads and infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Ashghal standards and procedures.
- Experience in landscape irrigation systems associated with roads, parks, and public realm developments.
