QA/QC Officer

The QA/QC Officer reviews and understands plans and specifications, compares completed work against the specification requirements, and assists in monitoring overall performance with regard to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect completed work or work in progress to determine whether the work meets the specifications.
• Identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality.
• Assist in establishing control of QA/QC Plans, Method Statements and Test Plans before commencement of the project and implementing them during the project to meet the project quality requirements and client’s expectations.
• Prepare work inspection requests (WIR) for each construction activity and submit them to consultants to ensure coverage of all construction activities on site.
• Conduct quality toolbox and method statement briefings for all activities.
• Ensure all incoming materials are checked according to project specifications and approved material submittals.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of the Quality Management System (QMS) or Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Proficient in computer applications and systems such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera.
• Analyzes complex technical data using logic and quantitative reasoning.
• Knowledge of work-related standards, specifications, and quality systems such as ISO 9001, QCS, ASTM, BS, BSEN, ACI, and AASHTO.
• Experience dealing with various QC issues.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 years of working experience, 3 years of relevant working experience, 2 years in GCC is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Professional Qualification in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) or Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQC certification (CQM/CQE).
