Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles & Fairmont Doha as our new Public Relations Officer.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing all government-related transactions and ensuring full compliance with local laws and regulations. Acting as the hotel's official representative with government authorities, the PRO facilitates visa processing, residency permits, labor and immigration documentation, licensing requirements, and other statutory approvals for colleagues and the business.

The role serves as the primary liaison between the hotel and government entities, ensuring timely completion of all administrative procedures while maintaining accurate records and providing guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements. The PRO supports operational continuity by ensuring compliance with employment, immigration, and municipal regulations, while delivering efficient and confidential service in line with the standards of Raffles & Fairmont Doha.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with government authorities for all immigration, labor, municipality, and licensing matters
• Process employment visas, residency permits, work permits, medical examinations, and Qatar ID applications and renewals
• Coordinate visa cancellations, transfers, and exit permits where applicable
• Ensure timely renewal of commercial licenses, permits, and other statutory documents
• Maintain accurate records of all government-related documentation and monitor expiry dates
• Keep abreast of changes in government regulations and advise management accordingly
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with government departments and external agencies
• Support colleagues with government-related processes and provide guidance on documentation requirements
• Ensure compliance with local labor, immigration, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive employee and company information

Qualifications

What will you bring to this role?

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Public Relations Officer (PRO), preferably in the hospitality industry in Qatar
• Strong knowledge of Qatar labor, immigration, and municipality regulations
• Experience using government portals and electronic systems
• Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Valid Qatari driving license is preferred
