Generator Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of diesel and industrial generators.
- Diagnose mechanical faults, abnormal noise, vibration, overheating, and performance issues.
- Inspect and replace bearings, belts, filters, hoses, seals, gaskets, and other mechanical components.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to approved schedules and procedures.
- Perform engine servicing, lubrication, cooling-system checks, and fuel-system maintenance.
- Support dismantling, assembly, alignment, and testing of generator components.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and maintenance instructions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
- Follow all HSE, PTW, and site safety requirements.

Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Generator Mechanic in the Oil & Gas industry .
- Diploma / ITI / Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, or Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
- Hands-on experience with diesel generators and associated mechanical systems.
- Good knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, bearings, and couplings.
- Experience in shutdown, turnaround, or plant maintenance projects is preferred.
- Ability to use mechanical tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding Oil & Gas environments.
- Immediate availability preferred.
