Waiters Role Overview

Waiters Key Responsibilities

• Service Excellence: Welcome guests warmly, present menus confidently, and deliver attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience.
• Guest Engagement: Build rapport with guests, anticipate needs, and ensure satisfaction through proactive communication and professionalism.
• Menu Knowledge: Maintain thorough understanding of food, wine, and beverage offerings. Provide recommendations and guide guests through pairings and specials.
• Order Management: Accurately record orders using POS systems, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and ensure timely delivery of dishes and drinks.
• Table Operations: Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently while maintaining flow and presentation standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, hosts, and fellow waiters to ensure smooth service pacing and consistent guest satisfaction.
• Presentation Standards: Uphold impeccable grooming, uniform, and etiquette standards that reflect the prestige of luxury hospitality.
• Upselling & Revenue: Promote signature dishes, premium beverages, and special experiences to enhance guest enjoyment and increase sales.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow hygiene, health, and safety protocols in line with five-star hotel standards.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years as a Waiter / Waitress in luxury hotels, fine-dining restaurants, or premium hospitality environments.
• Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities. Proficiency with POS systems and basic cash handling.
• Personality: Charismatic, energetic, and passionate about hospitality.
• Attributes: High attention to detail, polished appearance, and composure under pressure.
• Language: Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
