Engineering Lead (Civil & Structural)

Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing the EPC Contractor in the delivery of all aspects of Civil & Structural engineering, including design, materials, technical specifications, and execution strategy. Accountable for the planning and execution of detailed design, procurement, and installation activities. Ensures that all technical requirements (e.g., project specifications, procedures) are properly developed and implemented during the EPC phase and fully comply with project requirements. Works collaboratively across disciplines to ensure that designs consider the full production lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify the design and implementation of Civil & Structural deliverables, including reinforced concrete structures, steel structures, underground facilities, buildings, and architectural works.
• Manage EPC contract execution and Civil & Structural engineering activities to ensure delivery aligned with project requirements from award through to provisional acceptance.
• Maintain a strong and collaborative working relationship with the EPC contractor to ensure timely and compliant engineering delivery.
• Ensure alignment and effective communication with key stakeholders, particularly Operations and SEQ, to support seamless execution of engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• At least 4 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory, leadership, or contractor oversight capacity.
• Proven experience managing contractors, subcontractors, or vendors.
• Preferably experienced in large‑scale LNG or similar major industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering design standards, specifications, and codes; safety and compliance requirements; onshore facilities, utility systems, construction, and operations.
