Overview Of The Role:

The Customer Service Associate is pivotal in driving sales and delivering an exceptional customer experience. They are responsible for engaging with customers, providing knowledgeable and friendly service, and maintaining store standards. Success in this role involves meeting sales targets, ensuring a clean and inviting store environment, and upholding company policies. The role requires strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with the store team to achieve business objectives.

What You Will Do:

Customer Engagement

 

• Create a positive first impression for customers through energetic demeanor and adherence to the dress code.
• Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a sincere and warm welcome.
• Provide customers with current and relevant information about products.
• Express gratitude to all customers for shopping at M&S and invite them to return.

 

Sales and Service

 

• Deliver quality service in the fitting rooms and follow up with customers.
• Attempt to add on to sales during interactions and assist in achieving sales targets.
• Efficiently manage services at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, and capture customer information for the database.

 

Operational Duties

 

• Maintain store standards and cleanliness to create a sparkling and organized environment.
• Participate in and attend all store meetings and related functions.
• Complete other duties as assigned by store management, including meeting weekly sales targets.
• Maintain punctuality and adhere to designated work schedule.

 

Policy and Procedures

 

• Comply 100% with M&S policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate flexibility and collaborate effectively with peers and management.
• Perform housekeeping duties as required.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify and stay ahead of fashion trends.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Capacity to work flexibly within a team environment.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
• Good verbal communication skills and ability to engage with diverse customers.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
