Job Title: Hydro Test Operator

Location: Offshore Qatar

Job Description:

Responsible for the operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of pipeline pre-commissioning equipment such as suction pumps, flooding pumps, chemical injection units, high pressure pumps, air compressors, aftercoolers, and air dryers during pipeline pre-commissioning activities including flooding, cleaning, gauging, hydrotesting, dewatering, and air drying.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor pre-commissioning equipment as per procedures and supervisor's instruction.
• Ensure proper setup and alignment of equipment and connections (hoses, fittings, manifolds).
• Maintain safe operating pressures, flow rates, and chemical injection levels.
• Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting on pumps, compressors, and dryers.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth and continuous operation during pre-commissioning.
• Record equipment parameters and support daily equipment operating log reporting.
• Follow safety protocols and assist in emergency response when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the equipment operating area.

Qualifications and Experience:

• ITI / Technical Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating pipeline pre-commissioning equipment offshore/onshore.
• Hands-on experience with operating and troubleshooting of:

1. Centrifugal Pumps (e.g., Caprari 500m³/hr with CAT C27 Acer engine or similar),
2. HP Piston Pumps (e.g., MIDIS/Woma 550 ARP with CAT C18 Acer or similar),
3. Diesel Generators (e.g., Atlas Copco with Perkins 1104C engine or similar),
4. Air Compressors (e.g., Atlas Copco XRYS 1260 CD7 or similar),
5. Desiccant Air Dryers (Twin-pot, 1600 scfm+).

• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
• Physically fit for onshore site conditions.
• Good communication in English language and teamwork skills.

What are we looking for?

Education: ITI / Technical Certificate or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience operating pipeline pre-commissioning equipment offshore/onshore.

Languages: English Language skills required (and any other specified by Project)
