Rigger - Offshore Shutdown Project

TheRiggeris responsible forthe safe lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy equipment and materialsduring offshore shutdowns, ensuring compliance with strict safety standards inhazardous environments.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Lifting & Rigging Operations:
  • Performload calculationsandselect appropriateslings, shackles, and lifting gearforcranes, winches, and hoists.
  • Rig and movepipes, valves, vessels,and structural modules(up to 100+ tons).
  • Assist crane operators withblindliftsandcomplex load positioning.
• 2. Shutdown Support:
  • Work withscaffolders, welders, andmechanical teamsto position equipment for maintenance.
  • Assist inload-outsforsupply vessels andplatform module installations.
  • Identifyoverhead hazards, swingradius risks, and pinch points.
  • FollowPTW (Permit to Work)andLOTO(Lockout-Tagout)procedures.
• 4. Documentation:
  • Maintainrigging gear inspection logsandreport defects.

Requirements

• Education:High school diploma + riggingcertification.
• Certifications(Mandatory):
• OPITO Rigging & Lifting Level 2/3orNORS Rigger Certification.
• BOSIET/HUET (Offshore Survival), H2S/BA,T-BOSIET.
• 5+ years inoffshore/oil & gasrigging, with3+ years in shutdown projects.
• Familiarity withQP, Shell, orTotalEnergies lifting protocols.
• Proficient inload charts, riggingconfigurations, and crane signals.
• Ability to work inconfined spaces andat heights.
