Construction Manager - Tank Fabrication and Erection (Oil and Gas EPC)

Job Purpose
To lead and manage all site construction activities related to tank fabrication and erection works for major Oil and Gas / LNG EPC projects, ensuring safe execution, compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and delivery within schedule and budget.
The role will support ongoing EPC projects associated with large energy facilities, including storage tanks, utility systems, and related infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all site construction activities related to storage tank fabrication, erection, and installation works.
- Manage construction execution in accordance with approved IFC drawings, project specifications, API standards, and client requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, fabrication teams, welding crews, and construction supervisors on site.
- Ensure all tank erection activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within the project schedule.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and Planning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor construction progress and provide regular reporting to Project Management.
- Review and approve construction methodologies, lifting plans, work packs, and erection sequences.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, permit-to-work systems, and project safety procedures.
- Identify construction risks, technical issues, and delays, and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Support project commissioning, punch clearance, and final handover activities.

Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Oil and Gas / LNG EPC projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Construction Manager role.
- Strong experience in tank fabrication and erection works for:
- API 650 storage tanks
- LNG tanks
- Atmospheric / cryogenic tanks
- Tank farm facilities
- Proven experience managing large-scale EPC construction projects in the Middle East.
- Strong understanding of welding, structural erection, piping interfaces, and heavy lifting operations.
- Experience working with major EPC contractors and national operators is highly preferred.

Mandatory Requirements
- Hands-on experience with API 650 standards is mandatory.
- Previous experience in tank construction projects within the Oil and Gas / LNG industry is mandatory.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and site management capabilities.
- GCC project experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
